SAIC Motor Malaysia has opened a new MG Motor parts warehouse in the Klang Valley to enhance aftersales support for MG vehicle owners. The facility supports both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) models, including the MG4 EV, MG ZS EV, MG5 Sedan, MG HS SUV, and the upcoming MG Cyberster EV Roadster.
Stocked with over 4,500 SKUs and 22,000 parts, the warehouse aims to expedite repairs and improve service efficiency. This development comes on the back of a recent graduation of 39 certified MG technicians, bolstering the brand’s growing network of authorised service centres. MG currently operates 12 centres nationwide, with plans to open 13 more.
SAIC Motor Malaysia COO Lee Wen Hsiang said the brand is dedicated to reliable aftersales support, ensuring prompt servicing and vehicle readiness. The company also aims to reduce ownership costs for the MG5 sedan and other models through comprehensive warranties.
MG offers a 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and a 7-year unlimited mileage powertrain warranty for its combustion engine models. For electric cars, such as the MG4 and MG ZS EV, customers benefit from a 7-year vehicle warranty, an 8-year battery warranty and a 1-year or 20,000 km warranty for the 12V battery.
