2026 UPDATE: The BMW chargers are no longer in operation.
BMW Group Malaysia and authorised dealer Millennium Welt have installed two public electric-vehicle chargers at Gamuda Gardens in Rawang, Selangor.
Located outside the Gamuda Gardens Experience Gallery, the BMW i Wallboxes each supply up to 11kW of alternating-current charging.
The site can cater to two vehicles simultaneously and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It supports battery-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids fitted with compatible Type 2 connections. Usage is free.
BMW Malaysia said the installation was part of its effort to extend charging access beyond shopping centres and prominent public locations into residential areas.
Gamuda Land said the chargers complemented the township’s climate-responsive masterplan and its wider environmental commitments under the Gamuda Green Plan 2025.
Millennium Welt said growing interest in electrified BMW models had encouraged it to work with businesses pursuing similar sustainability goals.
