Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia today says it has delivered 5,000 vehicles in the country, reaching the figure less than two years after its local launch.
The company is marking the milestone with a package of owner benefits covering warranty protection, vehicle inspections and charging.
It also plans to expand its branded Zeekr Power charging network across Malaysia over the next three years.
New Zeekr buyers may buy an Extended Warranty Programme within seven days of taking delivery. The offer has also been opened to existing owners, who have until Sept 30 to sign up.
Two plans are available. The Silver plan extends the Vehicle Warranty and High Voltage Components Warranty to eight years or 160,000km. The Gold plan raises the mileage limit to 180,000km while retaining the same eight-year period.
Zeekr said eligible parts and labour for warranty repairs would be covered at authorised service centres nationwide. Repairs will use genuine Zeekr parts and be handled by trained technicians.
The company did not include programme prices or detailed exclusions in the announcement.
Owners may also book a complimentary electric vehicle health inspection at authorised Zeekr service centres until Sept 30.
The inspection covers the power battery system, electric powertrain, body control module system, undercarriage and low-voltage battery. Zeekr advised owners to make appointments in advance through their preferred service centre or the Zeekr Call Centre to reduce waiting time.
Charging is the other major part of the announcement. Zeekr Malaysia plans to establish 30 Zeekr Power charging stations nationwide within three years.
The company is working with DC Handal on charging sites along major travel routes, including locations connected to the North-South Expressway. The chargers can supply up to 400 kW, while selected units could support as much as 640 kW in future, based on the stated 1.2 MW capacity.
The listed Zeekr Power × DC Handal locations are Amanjaya Mall in Sungai Petani, Sunway Carnival Mall in Penang, MH Hotel in Ipoh and Sunway Pyramid Mall in Petaling Jaya.
Two more sites are under construction at the PLUS Sungkai toll plaza in Perak and the PLUS Bukit Gambir toll plaza in Johor. Both are targeted for completion in the fourth quarter.
Zeekr said the initial rollout would improve charging access at key destinations and along travel corridors used for interstate journeys.
Zeekr owners will initially be offered a preferential DC charging rate of RM1.20 per kWh at participating Zeekr Power × DC Handal stations.
Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia general manager Eddy Lu said the 5,000-delivery figure reflected the relationship the company had built with its customers.
He said the latest measures were intended to improve the ownership experience after delivery and provide owners with greater convenience and longer-term support.
The announcement gives current owners a clear deadline to consider the warranty extension and free inspection.
The charging plan is more gradual, with 30 stations planned over three years and two of the first listed sites still under construction.
