Tesla Malaysia has rolled out its 2026 Model Y lineup with notable cabin enhancements while keeping the sticker price steady.
The most significant change centres on the cabin experience. Tesla has upgraded the central display to a 16-inch touchscreen, marking a step up from the previous 15.4-inch unit.
Accompanying this is a new black headliner treatment that flows across the roof and A/B/C pillars, creating a more cohesive interior aesthetic.
The darker surfaces should prove practical for owners dealing with fingerprints and scuff marks from passengers.
Tesla’s Malaysian configurator shows two options remain available. The rear-wheel-drive variant starts at RM195,450, while the dual-motor Long Range AWD commands RM242,450.
According to Tesla, these entry points will remain fixed through 2026.
Both versions maintain their existing performance and efficiency numbers.
The RWD version delivers 466km of WLTP-rated range with a 5.9-second sprint to 100kph. DC fast charging peaks at 175kW for this model.
For the Long Range AWD, expect 600km WLTP range and a quicker 4.8-second 0-100kph time. This variant supports faster DC charging at up to 250kW.
Beyond the standard specification, buyers can personalise their Model Y through Tesla’s typical upgrade path: alternative wheel designs, exterior colour choices, and enhanced driver-assistance features that build on the standard Autopilot functionality included with every vehicle.
