It’s all rather sudden. Gentari Go announced today that its Gentari Go Power Pass membership plan will end after midnight.
What happens next is the bigger question, especially for frequent public-charging users who bank on the subscription to keep costs predictable. Gentari Go did not indicate whether a replacement plan is coming, leaving a gap for drivers who do not have a home charger and rely heavily on its network.
However, Gentari Go hinted that another announcement is on the way, adding a brief line in its Facebook post: “What’s next is coming soon.”
The company said it would stop accepting new sign-ups for both Power Pass and Power Pass Lite after Jan 31, 2026, which is today, based on its Facebook announcement. Existing subscribers are not being cut off early: Gentari Go said current Power Pass and Power Pass Lite users can continue enjoying the benefits until their memberships expire.
Both plans are built around the same hook, a 50% discount across Gentari’s EV charging network, and they are also eligible for tax relief claims during annual filing.
Pricing and caps differ: the annual Power Pass costs RM899 with a cumulative discount cap of RM2,400 per year, while the 90-day Power Pass Lite costs RM250 with a cap of RM600, sold as a one-off with no renewal option.
At those discount levels, users could see AC charging at around 50–60 sen per kWh and DC charging at about 80–90 sen per kWh.
