Foxtron Vehicle Technologies unveiled the Bria on Dec 25 and billed it as the first electric vehicle built in Taiwan with export markets in mind.

The Foxconn-backed venture said the Bria would be offered in three variants and priced from US$28,600 to US$36,540 (RM116,000 to RM148,000).

The line-up of the C-segment hatchback are the Elegant, Emerge and Pioneer. It measures 4,315mm long, 1,885mm wide and 1,535mm tall, riding on a 2,800mm wheelbase, making it bigger than the BYD Dolphin.

Both the Elegant and Emerge use a rear-mounted electric motor producing 229hp, with a claimed 0-100kph time of 6.8 seconds. Pioneer steps up to an all-wheel drive layout with a combined 400hp, cutting the 0-100kph run to 3.9 seconds.

All three variants use the same 57.7kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery, for a claimed range of 516km NEDC (439km, WLTP) for Elegant and Emerge, while Pioneer is rated at 466km NEDC (396km, WLTP). DC fast charging is listed at up to 134kW, with a 10-80% recharge quoted at 30 minutes.

Foxtron said it would show the Bria at the Taipei International Auto Show from Dec 31, 2025 to Jan 4, 2026, and said the Bria name would also be used for its Model B-based EV in Taiwan from Q1 2026.

Separately, Foxtron said it would buy 100% of Yulon Motor’s Luxgen brand for NT$787.6 million (about RM101 million), subject to fair-trade approval.

Foxconn, best known for assembling Apple iPhones, owned 45.6% of Foxtron, while Yulon held 43.8%.
