Tesla Malaysia has introduced a “Refer and Earn” program to boost sales of its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
The program allows current Tesla owners to receive RM1,050 in credits for each successful referral, provided the referred buyer takes delivery of a Tesla.
These credits can be redeemed for Tesla Supercharger usage, merchandise, or service expenses.
Additionally, the first 10 buyers using a referral code will receive a RM2,100 discount on their purchase.
To participate, Tesla owners can share their unique referral links through the Tesla app. Referred individuals must complete the purchase and take delivery of their new Tesla for the referral reward to be applied.
In addition, Tesla Malaysia is offering a zero-interest financing plan to qualified buyers. The plan requires a minimum 10% down payment and offers up to a nine-year loan tenure.
The starting price is RM181,000 for the Model 3 and RM191,000 for the Model Y. Detailed terms for the hire-purchase financing plan are available on Tesla’s website and from participating banks.
Coinciding with this program, Tesla launched three new 11kW AC Destination chargers at the EQ Hotel in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle area, following the recent installation of similar chargers at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Tesla Malaysia regional manager for sales & delivery Karen Teo was among those present at the launching ceremony.
The EQ Hotel will also host a Tesla test-drive event from Oct 23-27, where prospective buyers can experience the models. A Model 3 would also be showcased in the hotel lobby.
Tesla currently has a network of 12 Supercharging stations and 14 Destination Charging stations across Malaysia, featuring a combined 128 chargers. Additional charging locations are planned for Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Shah Alam.
